Welcome to the new Pendleton Family website.

After many years under the old content management system fangdog.com has been upgraded to the Joomla! content manager system.

 

Why the Change?

 

The old system which was under phpwebsite was working just fine, but an upgrade of the underlying operating system was required for security considerations.  The initial plan was to roll phpWebsite out unchanged onto the new platform, but changes in PHP required an upgrade.  When Jerald, the sysadmin say the amount of work and the lack of documentation required to move fangdog, aqualinda and the other sites, he puked.

 

Out of sheer anger, he went shopping for the new CMS.  Joomla seemed to fit the bill.  This is however a RC version of Joomal and lot of the mods have not yet been upgraded to the new core.  So we may end up doing this again.
